PHRAnywhere Q&A

Q1. Why were the linked accounts separated? How can I see my family member’s information? Q2. Will accounts be relinked and when? Q3. Why can’t my dependent under the age of 18 have a PHRAnywhere account? Q4. Was the security of the Member Portal (PHRAnywhere) compromised? What prompted the portal to be shut down?

Q1. Why were the linked accounts separated? How can I see my family member’s information?

A1. The portal is undergoing updates that will result in improved security of Personal Health Information (also known as PHI), as well as ensure information displayed in the portal complies with current state and federal regulations governing PHI. In order to complete the security review and make changes to PHRAnywhere accounts, these accounts had to be “unlinked.” At this time, you will not be able to view someone else’s policy information online in PHRAnywhere. However, if you have a signed Authorization to Share PHI form on file then we can provide you with that person’s Benefits and Claims information.

Q2. Will accounts be relinked and when?

A2. Once all the updates are completed in PHRAnywhere, you will have the ability to link PHRAnywhere accounts. However, some of the information you can view may change, in compliance with state and federal regulation protecting your PHI. Some of the changes may include concealment of sensitive or detailed information on other people’s Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and claims. Once the updated portal is online, an announcement of the changes will be posted in PHRAnywhere. The PHRAnywhere update project is estimated to take several months. In the meantime, you can always call Customer Service at (866) 403-2785 for Benefits and Claims information. Please make sure you have a signed Authorization to Share PHI form on file if you are calling on someone else’s policy.

Q3. Why can’t my dependent under the age of 18 have a PHRAnywhere account?

A3. Members who are under 18 cannot access PHRAnywhere currently because we are working on their accounts. We are making sure the information available on their PHRAnywhere accounts comply with state and federal regulations. Members under the age of 18 will have access to their PHRAnywhere accounts once all the portal updates are completed.
